Dear McHarg Families,
Our school year is officially underway, and I could not be prouder of how our little heroes have taken flight! From the very first bell, our classrooms and hallways have been buzzing with positive energy, huge smiles, and an incredible eagerness to learn.
Our students have jumped right into their routines, mastering classroom expectations and powering up their brains every single day. Seeing our kindergarteners navigate the building like pros and watching our 1st and 2nd graders step up as leaders has been absolute magic.
To celebrate students living out Every Day the Hero Way, we launched our Superhero Shoutout Board in the main hallway—and it is already completely filled up! Students are earning shoutouts for showing real-world superpowers like helping a friend on the playground, showing extra perseverance during reading and math, practicing active listening and showing kindness in the lunchroom.
A massive thank you to our amazing families for helping us launch this year so smoothly. Your partnership, high-fives at drop-off, and encouragement at home make all the difference in helping our students soar.
Keep an eye out for upcoming classroom updates and school events on Seesaw. Let’s keep this incredible momentum going!
Warmest regards,
Ken Keister
